Cosmedix® professional grade peels are formulated with ingredients including lactic acid, ascorbic acid (vitamin C), plumping phytohormones, kojic and azelaic acids to produce dramatic results treating such varied skin conditions such as acne, psoriasis, hyper-pigmentation, rosacea and fine lines and wrinkles without the discomfort and downtime associated with traditional chemical peels. Peels vary from level 1 to level 2 depending on the strength of the peel. Level 1 peels use more natural forms of Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA) and Beta Hydroxy Acids (BHA) to help exfoliate away dead skin cells. Level 2 peels are much more powerful and provide medium depth resurfacing to help the skin appear tighter and smoother. With Level 2 Peels, a regular pre-treatment and post-treatment plan is required due to the intensity of the treatment.

This powerful Level 2 peel combines a 14% L-Lactic Acid, 14% Salicylic Acid and 14% Resorcinol compounded to provide medium depth exfoliation. The use of chiral acids plus antioxidants and a higher pH makes the solution less aggressive than most Jessner® peels reducing the risk of secondary concerns such as post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
